How Qatium protects your data
Your data is encrypted and processed through the Amazon Cloud — the most comprehensive security and globally compliant platform trusted by world’s largest security agencies.
- Encrypted client-side processing
- Continuous monitoring of dynamic threats
- GDPR and Privacy Shield compliant
- All uploaded data can be permanently deleted upon request
Qatium is a serverless application. All data is encrypted and processed locally on the users’ browser – not on an application server. To keep data anonymous and secure, a key management service separates the data processing from the data storage activities.
Qatium is based on Amazon Web Services’ Well-Architected Framework. Highly scalable, the framework is based on five pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
Continuous monitoring capabilities allow the system to apply machine learning capabilities to identify anomalous activity, mitigate DDoS attacks, and send alerts whenever changes are made to AWS resources.
Automated security tasks significantly reduce human configuration errors and give your team more time to focus on other business-critical objectives.
Minimal attack surfaces
Compared with on-premise software, cloud-based applications reduce the number of potential attack surfaces. In the case of Qatium, only an edge device for pushing data to the cloud and user browsers require protection, provided through multiple layers of security.
AWS has earned certifications and accreditations demonstrating compliance with the important security assurance frameworks relevant to utility organizations such as PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, ISO, SOC, Cyber Essentials Plus, FIPS 140-2, ITAR and GDPR.
Lower your footprint
With Qatium’s partnership with Amazon Web Services, your utility can transform and converge information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) to improve reliability, lower operating costs, and reduce your carbon footprint.
