We know that the best ideas spark from the strongest connections. We also recognise the importance of maintaining strong connections across our remote teams. That’s why this year’s Qatium Summer Fest wasn’t just any company offsite — it was an event, and a celebration of our collective spirit and strong collaboration.
While we work from different locations around the world day-to-day, events like Summer Fest help us bridge the distance, bringing our team closer together and strengthening the common purpose that makes our company culture so strong.
With this in mind, our 3-day itinerary combined a blend of work and fun, where colleagues who normally collaborate through screens could meet face-to-face, as well as share new, unforgettable experiences and connect on a deeper level.
Curious about our Summer Fest escapades? Well, here’s a glimpse into what we got up to in Benicasim.
Strengthening our remote team through in-person activities
This was more than just a company offsite; it was a chance to shift gears, relax, and prepare for the future.
Over the next few days, our schedule was filled with a variety of activities, each designed to reflect our work culture that values personal choice and prioritizes individual well-being. From a scenic bike trip along the Via Verde del Mar, relaxing by the pool, and participating in the release of turtles at Bellver Tower beach, there was something for everyone.
We also took a group boat trip to the Columbretes Islands, where we explored the islands on a guided tour. For those seeking a bit more excitement, snorkeling was an option, followed by a relaxed lunch on the boat and an afternoon unwinding by the pool.
In the evenings, we came together for dinners where music set a relaxed tone, creating the perfect atmosphere for meaningful conversations and deeper connections.
Each experience, whether adventurous or laid-back, everyone had the chance to connect on a deeper level and strengthen the bonds that make our team so resilient.
Checking in on our goals with a mid-year get together
Summer Fest was also an opportunity to revisit our goals and assess how we’re achieving them. Our founders set the stage with a warm welcome, followed by an exciting presentation of Qatium’s future direction.
We heard from our COO, Manu Arianoff, as he outlined the products on our roadmap and shared his vision of how each of us contributes to achieving our shared goals. It was a powerful reminder of our shared mission: making smart water management more accessible and playing our part in advancing sustainability for a better future.
After a short group visit to Vortex Tempus, we transitioned into a co-working session, blending productivity with the serene environment of Bellver. This shift to an in-person work environment was more than just a change of scenery — it was an important opportunity for our remote team to connect and collaborate face-to-face.
The ability to engage directly with colleagues, provide immediate feedback, and take part in spontaneous brainstorming allowed us to tackle challenges more effectively and creatively and build on our already solid sense of team cohesion.
Revisiting our mission
In all companies, let alone remote ones, it’s easy for team members to get distracted from a company’s mission, or even forget it entirely. That’s why it’s important to make sure it’s felt in everything we do. At Qatium, our mission is to make digital water management available to all.
During the Summer Fest we spoke with colleagues from different departments as they discussed why they joined Qatium and its mission. Take a look at this video to see what they said and enjoy a closer look at what made this event so special!
Join our mission, join Qatium

The connections we forged, the ideas we sparked, and the memories we created all contribute to a stronger, more cohesive team. And when our team thrives, so does our ability to achieve our goals.
If you’re looking for a place where your growth is nurtured, your ideas are valued, and your work is more than just a job, Qatium might be the perfect fit for you. We’re always excited to welcome new talent who are ready to make a difference and join us on this incredible journey.
