What a year it’s been! As we close the book on 2025, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the milestones, connections, and innovations that made this year truly special for Qatium.

This was a year of going deeper — into technology, into campaigns, and into conversations about what the future of water really looks like. From spotlighting utilities making waves around the world to exploring the role of AI in water systems, 2025 was about turning ideas into real-world impact.

Here’s a quick recap of the 10 biggest moments that helped shape our journey this year.

1. From Valencia to the world: How Qatium’s mission is taking shape across continents

Qatium’s mission to democratize digital water management continues to take shape in utilities of all sizes, all around the globe. This year, we visualized that journey to showcase how digital innovation is transforming water management from Valencia to utilities worldwide. From rural districts to major municipalities, here is how the Qatium community is building a more resilient water future:

This animation is inspired by global case studies that highlight the real-world impact of Qatium:

– Anglian Water in the UK leverages Qatium to run more agile operations
– Rural Water District No. 4 in Douglas County, Kansas, USA speeds up processes and saves on water with Qatium
– George Municipality in South Africa is turning static models into dynamic, real-time platforms that transform decision-making for local utilities
– Leeton Shire in Australia implemented a digital twin for improved efficiency and service levels

2. We expanded our Water Intelligence Platform’s capabilities

This year, we introduced relevant use cases designed to minimize non-revenue water and help utilities build a resilient, sustainable network. Our platform continues to grow with exciting new tools that help you customize your digital water toolkit and tackle your unique challenges with precision and efficiency.

Some highlights include:

– Energy Efficiency: Visualizes and reduces energy inefficiencies across your water system
– Pressure Sensor Placement: Strategically positions sensors for maximum insight (find out how the Qatium x PHOEBE collaboration helps utilities use the plugin to guide their sensor rollout plans, extend coverage, and improve operational insights)
– Estimated Leakage: Detects and quantifies water loss more accurately
– Water Footprint: Helps you understand the environmental impact of your operations
Minimum Night Flow Monitor: Quantifies water loss and prioritize leakage repair efforts by analyzing nighttime flow data

3. We took our conversations global with community webinars

From intimate community webinars to major industry conferences, 2025 was a year of connection and knowledge sharing. We brought together water experts from around the world to tackle pressing challenges and explore emerging solutions.

Here’s a selection of community webinars we hosted in 2025:

– South Africa’s First Digital Water Twin: A Blueprint for Progress: This webinar showcases how George Municipality and GLS Consulting created Southern Africa’s first digital water twin.
– Emerging Technologies Impacting Water Distribution Management: Paul Fleming hosted a panel with Gigi Karmous-Edwards, Dragan Savić, and Saša Tomić exploring how AI, digital twins, and robotics are reshaping the water sector.
– Getting Started with a Digital Twin: What You Need to Know: Satish Tripathi, Dr. Saša Tomić, and Golnaz Motlaghzadeh broke down how digital twins are revolutionizing water systems, showing how real-time insights enable more informed decision-making and proactive network management.

4. We travelled the world to attend key conferences and events

In 2025, Qatium joined water leaders, researchers, and innovators at major global events — sharing ideas, running live demos, and reinforcing our commitment to open collaboration across the sector.

Here’s a look at some of the standout events we attended:
