AWWA webinar: Faster Decision-making with Digital Twins

In this webinar, you’ll hear how utilities large and small — Anglian Water, Greenville IN, and Douglas County KS — are digitalizing their network operations for faster decision-making and how they’re leveraging advanced Digital Twin technology to provide operators with an interactive, real-time view of their water network:

In Kansas, Douglas County’s Rural Water District #4 uses Qatium to quickly visualize its expansive rural water network that serves just over 1,000 customers. Qatium quickly connected with their SCADA system, allowing them to implement a real-time decision-making platform that can be used to onboard new employees, simulate main break repairs, and understand the impact of potential new developments.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Anglian Water — which serves nearly seven million people in the East of England — is using Qatium to future-proof its water network. Anglian Water chose Qatium to create a digital twin of their water network in three short weeks, allowing operators to run operational scenarios and visualize the impact of main shutdowns.

At Greenville, they’re reducing non-revenue water and improving network management. They swiftly identified and resolved a major leak, reducing water loss by around 10%, which led to a significant improvement in their water network’s efficiency.

If you’re responsible for water network operations, watch this webinar and learn how utilities in the USA and the UK are benefitting from user-friendly digital water management tech.

Open Water 2.0:
Open platforms, Marketplaces & Community

Open Water 2.0 builds on the foundation of our first Open Water whitepaper, which explored the value of open data, open-source software, and open collaboration in the water sector. In this paper, we introduce three new critical drivers to the Open Water approach: Open platforms, Digital marketplaces and Communities in motion.
